Dear Parents/Carers,

Well another half term has passed – the weather has improved a bit – I hope you all enjoyed the sunny Bank Holiday weekend! 

The theme for this half term has been ‘The World in my Town’ and class teams have continued to plan lots of accessible, creative activities to engage all pupils. 

This half term also saw us celebrating Eid. There was a coffee morning for parents to attend to have a catch up and the children celebrated in different ways within their classrooms.

• Monday 10^th June – schools reopen
• Thursday 27^th June – Languages Day – Brazil – Kingfisher
• Friday 28^th June – Languages Day – Brazil – Halcyon Way
• w/b 1^st July – Sports Week at Kingfisher
• Thursday 4^th July and Friday 5th July – Sports Days at Halcyon Way
• Friday 12^th July – Reports sent out
• Thursday 18^th July – Parents Evening – both schools
• Wednesday 24^th July – Leavers’ Assemblies – Kingfisher and Halcyon Way Y6 pupils
• Friday 26^th July – schools finish for summer

As the half term finishes, I would like to say a big thank you to Abdul Shahid who has been supporting families for many years. He has built some great relationships up with families over the years and he will be greatly missed by us all. 

I would like to wish you all a peaceful half term – please remember that we have 2 weeks off this year but finish later for the summer holidays. Let’s hope the sun shines!
